National Sports Day: CM Bhajanlal Sharma Highlights India’s Rising Medal Haul After 2014

CM Bhajanlal Sharma addressed the My Bharat Khelo India Samvad at Subodh College, highlighting India’s rising medal tally after 2014, youth participation, economic strength and PM Modi’s focus on sportspersons.

 

Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma attended the ‘My Bharat Khelo India Samvad’ programme organised at Subodh College on the occasion of National Sports Day and addressed participants on the role of youth and sport in the country’s development.

Addressing the programme, Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma said that before 2014, the number of medals coming to the country was low. However, after 2014, Indian youth have been consistently bringing medals home. He said Prime Minister Narendra Modi has continuously been working for the youth and sportspersons.

Bhajanlal Sharma also said that the country’s economy has strengthened under the Modi government and India is becoming economically stronger. He said the country is soon going to become the world’s third-largest power. He further stressed that youth have an important role in the development of the country.

Across the country, the ‘Khelo India Samvad’ programme was organised on Thursday. Prime Minister Narendra Modi virtually inaugurated the programme at 11 am. Through the virtual medium, Modi connected with programmes at 1,600 locations and addressed 8 lakh youths participating in the dialogue programme.

Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma joined the programme from Subodh College, where he addressed participants during the National Sports Day event. The programme focused on youth, sportspersons and their contribution to the country’s progress.
